I knew this because I interviewed a woman at the SAIC in Shenzhen at the Citizens Service Center 7 or 8 years ago, but perhaps if you searched "Shenzhen citizens service center" and background something would turn up.

Nah I’m pretty sure Covid + Britain’s political chaos took care over that
Citizen Service Centers are borrowed from Shenzhen, in turn borrowed from Hong Kong
